Think you might have a concussion?
- 1Stop playing
No practice or games with symptoms. When in doubt, sit out.
- 2See a doctor or clinician
Tell a trainer, teammate or someone you trust, and get checked.
- 3Return step by step
Go back to school, work and sport gradually, and only to contact when a clinician clears you.
Get emergency care right away (call 911) if there's:
- A headache that gets worse or won't go away
- Repeated vomiting, or a seizure
- Confusion, unusual drowsiness or trouble waking up
- Weakness, numbness or tingling in arms or legs
- Slurred speech, or one pupil larger than the other
- Any loss of consciousness
LockerIndex is not a medical service and can't diagnose a concussion. If you're struggling with your mood, call or text 9-8-8 (Canada) or 988 (US) any time.
